Each year the Tacoma (WA) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated awards scholarships to exceptional graduating high school students. This is one of the ways that the chapter gives back to the community that we serve. It is our philosophy that if we help the next generation to receive advanced education, they, in turn, will reach back and help others. Over the years we have given over $360,000 in scholarships to over 400 students. Those students have gone into various career fields such as dentistry, finance, literary and sequential arts, music, and dance.

In 2020, the Tacoma (WA) Chapter of the Links, Incorporated began sponsoring a student located at I Can Fly International, Butterfly House High School, in Makakoi Village, Kenya.  Sponsorship covers tuition, housing, three daily meals, basic medical care, books, hygiene products, clean water, transportation, 24-hour security, and enrichment activities.  In 2024, we’re proud to announce that we were able to begin sponsoring an additional student.

Out of all the work our chapter does, supporting the future education of outstanding students makes us the most proud.
